General Terms and Conditions

The website and online shop are intended for the presentation of products and services and for the sale of handmade ceramic products. The general and other terms and conditions are determined by Maruša Mazej, self-employed in culture, designer, as the provider and operator of the website.

The online shop operates in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), the Electronic Commerce Market Act (ZEPT), the Consumer Protection against Unfair Commercial Practices Act (ZVPNPP), the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

A user is any person who uses the online shop system or is a customer of the online shop marusamazej.com.
The confirmation email regarding the order status constitutes a purchase contract and is available to users upon their written request.

Prices of products and services

Prices of products and services are valid at the time the order is placed and do not have a predefined validity period. Prices may change in the case of promotions or special offers. All prices are stated in euros (EUR) and do not include VAT pursuant to Article 94(1) of the Value Added Tax Act. Maruša Mazej – self-employed in culture, designer – is not a VAT taxable person. Prices do not include delivery costs, except in the case of special offers.

Shopping in the online store

Each product in the online store marusamazej.com has its own name, description, weight, dimensions, and price. By clicking the “ADD TO CART” button, the selected quantity of products is added to the shopping cart.

The customer can manage the cart by adding, removing, or changing the quantity of products. To proceed, the customer clicks on the cart icon, reviews the selected items, and continues by clicking “PROCEED TO CHECKOUT.” This is followed by entering personal details and payment by credit card. By clicking “BUY NOW,” the purchase is completed.

Payment

The marusamazej.com online store accepts credit card payments via the Stripe platform. After payment for the ordered products, the online store sends an invoice to the customer’s email address.

Delivery and delivery period

Products ordered from the online store marusamazej.com are delivered via Pošta Slovenije (Slovenian Post).
Delivery costs for addresses in Slovenia depend on the size of the order. Due to differences in weight and dimensions of individual products, shipping costs vary and will be displayed before completing the purchase.

Complaints and Lack of Conformity of Goods

For all complaints, you may contact me via email (hello@marusamazej.com). In the event of issues with products or incorrect delivery, we will seek the best possible solution as soon as possible.

The consumer may exercise rights related to lack of conformity if they notify the seller of the defect within two months from the date the defect was discovered. The consumer must describe the defect in detail and allow the seller to inspect the product.

The consumer may notify the seller of the defect in person (in which case the seller must issue a receipt), send it to the store where the product was purchased, or submit it to the seller’s representative with whom the contract was concluded (Article 37 of the Consumer Protection Act).

In the event of lack of conformity, the consumer may, at their discretion, request:
– repair of the goods, or
– a proportional refund of the purchase price, or
– replacement of the goods with new, faultless goods, or
– a full refund of the purchase price.

The seller is not liable for defects that occur more than two years after the date of purchase.

Returns and exchanges

The consumer has the right to return the received order within 14 days without stating a reason. The withdrawal period begins one day after the date of receipt of the goods. Notice of withdrawal from the contract must be sent to the email address: hello@marusamazej.com. The goods must be unused, undamaged, and in the same quantity as received. The cost of return shipping is borne by the customer.

The consumer does not have the right to withdraw from the contract in the following cases:
– goods made according to the consumer’s exact instructions or clearly customized to their personal needs,
– goods that have been used after delivery and are not suitable for resale due to their nature.

In the event of a return, the seller will refund all received payments no later than eight days after receiving the returned goods.The online store marusamazej.com will refund payments by bank transfer to the account specified in the withdrawal notice or by another agreed method.

Unique Nature of Ceramics

Due to the handmade nature of the products, minor variations in color, shape, texture, or dimensions may occur. Such variations do not constitute a lack of conformity but are a characteristic of unique handmade products.

Workshops and Courses

Reservations
I accept registrations for workshops and courses via the website, email, or social media. Participation in a workshop is confirmed upon payment.

Cancellations
If you are unable to attend a workshop or course for which you have already paid, you are not entitled to an alternative date (as a replacement for the missed session). If extraordinary circumstances arise, such as illness or injury, please contact me at hello@marusamazej.com. I will try to offer you a new date for the same workshop or participation in another workshop. If you miss the new date as well, the matter is considered closed.

Refund of Registration Fee
If you cancel your registration at least one week before the workshop, you are entitled to a full refund of the fee or to participate in one of the other workshops. If you notify me of your non-attendance less than one week and at least 24 hours before the workshop, you are entitled to a 50% refund of the fee. In the event of cancellation 24 hours or less before the workshop, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Broken Product
The main goal of every workshop is to explore clay as a material for creative expression and quality leisure time. Ceramics are technically demanding, and our mistakes are sometimes only revealed after firing in the kiln. Although I strive to guide and direct you toward proper technique during the workshop, it can sometimes happen that a piece cracks and becomes unusable. In this case, as a consolation, I offer you a 15% discount on the purchase of one of my pieces or a 15% discount on re-enrollment in the workshop.
